About
A workshop in Saharanpur.
Shree Ji Handicrafts carves sheesham, mango and acacia into furniture, serveware, décor and devotional pieces, and supplies them in wholesale quantities to buyers in India and abroad.
Saharanpur has been a woodcarving town for centuries. The skill is local and it is inherited — carvers here learn the chisel from someone in their own family. Our workshop sits inside that tradition rather than alongside it.
Patterns are drawn onto seasoned stock by hand and cut with chisel and gouge. Pieces are sanded through progressively finer grits, then finished in oil, wax, lacquer or gilding depending on what the piece is for. Nothing is pressed, printed or transferred.
We also make a handloom apparel line — khadi and cotton kurtas, Nehru jackets and shirts — packed in graded size runs for wholesale buyers.
